this is a nice finished product, but it is not fun getting there. The directions are mainly a series of pictures with no detail. My husband and I had to take it apart 3 times before we got it right. Parts were chipped and cracked during the assembly process because the material is so flimsy. It took all night to get the draws to fit in smoothly because the holes are not predrilled! You have to guess where the screws go! We gave up trying to get the keyboard tray to move smoothly. In summary, horrible directions and flimsy material. I'm giving it a three because after we FINALLY got a finished product, it looks nice.

If you're looking for an inexpensive but solid-looking piece of furniture, this is it. I didn't have any problems with the hardware or the quality of the piece-- the back is the wood-grain cardboardy material that all Sauder bookcases have, but it's not cheap looking once it's on. The doors hang well and open and close just fine, and the "estate black" color (a very very dark brown) looks good. I could wish that the bookshelf-hanging holes were a bit less obvious, and that the shelves had some other ledge or niche to keep them from sliding forward in case the shelf tips, but it's a very nice piece for the price.

I have to say that I am not impressed with this bookcase. I do not think its worth the money and after putting books on it I am concerned it will not hold the weight and it is already starting to slant to the left. Not worth the money and I think it looks cheap too. I did buy the desk with it and I love the desk just not the bookcase.

Bookcase matches the sauder Edge water desk perfectly. Went together in a snap. Looks nice, but made out of particle board and held together with twistlocks.
If your looking for a heavy duty desk and bookcase for years of service, pass up on this one.

I have a high worktable with my computer at one end. I spend approximately three hours per day seated, using my computer. I sat on a tall stool (with a cushion) for years. After undergoing treatments for sciatica pain, I followed my doctor's recommendation and spent some money on a better chair, and I should have done it a long time ago. I like this chair because it is strong, well-made, good-looking, glides smoothly over my carpet, has a nice footrest, and was a snap to assemble. It's comfortable... the tilting back is great. I feel this chair will serve me well for a long time. Highly recommended.

This chair is an excellent value. We are a computer store and we use it to work on rows of computers. We can easily roll around and adjust the height as needed. We like the metal base which is very strong. This chair receives a great deal of use and has performed even better that expected. The pneumatic seat lift is well made should last a long time.

Very nice stool and chair, September 8, 2007

The Safco Metro chair is exactly what I was looking. It has easily adjustable heights that let it serve well as a desk chair or higher stool for counters or taller tables. It is very comfortable. I ordered the matching arms for mine. They are fine, but the lowest height is a little higher than I would like, still not bad. Finally, assembly was a piece of cake. I've ordered and put together about 4 or 5 chairs through the years and this one by far was the fastest and easiest. Really well designed and engineered in this way. Total assembly time with the arms was about 10 or 15 minutes - max.

It is such a nice small size and assembles so easily. The trickiest part was finding a chair small enough to go with it, but once done, they look great together and don't take up too much room. It is sturdy and it is easy to clean. It took all of 5 minutes to have it set up out of the box, and it was brainless and simple. Very pleased with it. Wish I had ordered it before the complicated to put together desk that I had previously purchased that looked like junk that my son took off my hands so I could order this. Don't kick yourself like me, order the easy assemble sensible one that also looks just fine.

It has enough room for a slender 15" monitor and slender keyboard (I put the main part of the computer to the side of it). It has room to set the keyboard to the side and still fit a netbook or notebook in front of the monitor, also.

I initially purchased this table to hold a pretty heavy color laser printer because it was exactly the right size for a space on my office. It worked just fine and was sturdy enough despite the printer being almost 24Kg!
We have since moved home and the table has been "re purposed" as a TV stand for a 32" LG LCD TV and it still looks great.
